Lions Don’t Have To Roar; Warriors Don’t Have To Boast Or Brag

A big reason why I teach that you can live more powerfully with the Warrior’s Edge is that when you do you have confidence, self-esteem, and a calm sense of knowing who you are.  You don’t have to brag or boast, but rather do what you know is right without thought of receiving accolades or even thanks sometimes.  You do what you do because it is right and because of who you are.

When you live with the Warrior’s Edge you train in a simple uniform and don’t worry about how many colors or patches you have.  Sometimes I see martial artists with uniforms that look like billboards with all of the patches on different colored uniforms.  While this may be okay for some, and impress others, what really impresses me is the older martial artist in a simple white uniform performing flawlessly and then humbly going his or her way.

This does not mean you can’t toot your own horn at times.  I understand that if you don’t, no one else will. But there is a difference between letting others know about you and boasting and bragging.  Know the difference and realize that when you live with the Warrior’s Edge, you don’t need to boast.  You don’t need to brag.  Just as the lion doesn’t need to roar for you to know how powerful he is.
