Important Safety Tip – Don’t be so focused on the naked swimmer in your pool that you are not aware of her husband burglarizing you!
Common sense is not commonly practiced is how I reply to those that say some of my safety messages are just common sense during my safety and self-defense seminars. Case in point, a 54-year old man from Crossville, Tenn, claims a neighbor woman swam nude in his pool while her husband burglarized his home.
Apparently, she asked him if she could swim naked and he watched her for 20 minutes before she got out and dried off. (Apparently he watched her the entire time.) He also said that he invited her to church as he escorted her outside. What? I don’t get that either.
When she was gone, the victim realized that his house had been burglarized. Allegedly, the husband stole $1,195 worth of items, including a handgun, jewelry, and medication.
Maybe the guy read too many dirty magazines or watched too much late night cable television and thought stuff like that happens for real. I don’t know. But the sad truth is people are taken by scams such as this all the time. When it comes to your safety and self-defense, you need to be aware. Aware of what’s going on, and that includes possible scams.
