Put off for one day and ten days will pass.

Put off for one day and ten days will pass.

– Korean Proverb

How many times have we said, “I’ll get that done tomorrow,” and we then find ourselves realizing we never did it a week or more later? I know I have done this, more often than I’d like to admit.

There lies some of the wisdom in this Korean proverb. When we put something off, it often becomes too easy to not get back to it. One day then turns to ten, which then turns to months sometimes. When things need to be done, we need to do them now. That is one of the keys to effective time management, or really, effective task management, because time will continue passing regardless of what we do. We don’t manage time, it rolls on, we just manage ourselves and what we do with the time we all have.

Part of living with the Warrior’s Edge is living in the now, and doing things that must be done now. Don’t put off those things that are important, even when they are difficult. Face your challenges head on and make things happen by doing them now.
